Your environmentally oriented projects now have their solution for handles
Soléco is an entire product line designed with the goal of minimizing the environmental impact of manufactured products.
Never in history has the state of our environment been of greater concern. Day after day, project managers and specification writers are becoming increasingly interested in this issue. At a time when sustainable development and energy management are receiving top priority, the construction industry must rise to the challenge, and Vachette, with its line of architectural hardware, is taking the initiative.
For your residential, commercial, and industrial projects, Vachette now offers a complete range of Soléco door packages that help provide solutions to environmental issues.
How can door packages fit into an HQE(r) approach?
The Association HQE (Haute Qualité Environnmentale-high environmental quality), a French organization that has set environmental standards in the construction industry, has determined 14 target areas grouped into four large families: green building, environmental management in construction, well-being, and health. Our door packages, finished products installed by constructors, are directly concerned by target 2:
"Integrated selection of construction methods and materials"
The goal of the Soléco product line is to be in perfect harmony with the definition of sustainable design set forth by the French Agency for the Environment and Energy Management (ADEME): "the principle of reducing the environmental impact of products throughout their life cycles." Within this framework, the Soléco line was evaluated and received certification for compliance with the NF P 01-010 standard of the Environmental and Health Declaration for Construction Materials.
The Soléco finish gives handles a "raw" tint that allows numerous "marriages" of materials. Far from distorting the original appearance of the handles, it coats them with a discrete and high-quality finish. Moreover, contrary to common belief about environmental projects, this finish does not increase the cost to the end user.
